Following the successful release on our portals, we have released Voodoo Friends on the Chrome Webstore. It’s the same great game, only this time you can play it directly in your Google Chrome browser, without logging onto your favorite CEGO portal.

Vocabulum has launched

Our latest game Vocabulum has launched across all our portals. Vocabulum is a word game, where you attempt to write the longest possible words from a set of 16 letters. Your goal is to reach the highest possible round, while the rounds get increasingly harder. The game features plenty of unlocks granting you different bonuses, there are different kind of challenges during the rounds and when you have managed to use every single letter in the alphabet, a fun extra game is granted. There is no lack of enjoyment in this game.

Our dictionary is huge, and by allowing the players to suggest words it is constantly growing. Thousands of words have been added already. It is our hope, that by building such a great dictionary through player contributions, we can create even more word games in the future – without feeling limited by the size of our dictionary. We even have quite a few naughty words – and seems like this category is growing everyday as well.

We are proud to announce our upcoming platform puzzle game Voodoo Friends. Our first game to release on both our web portals and on iOS.

You control three voodoo dolls – each with unique abilities, and a need to help each other out. Their names are Newton, Bacon and Ghost – and as with any voodoo doll, you can pierce them with needles, granting them extra powers.

With help from the dedicated and creative community on the CEGO web portals, the game will feature a nearly endless supply of new levels – created using the easy to use level editor, and play-tested by hundreds of players before release.

Plugins like Java and Flash have long been the best way to create games for the web. Unfortunately, plugins prevent the games from being used in some browsers on some platforms. Such has life been so far, but in the near future this will change! HTML5 is a broadly accepted standard that all popular browsers is soon to fully implement. HTML5 allows rich media presentations, animation and fast JavaScript to run right in the browser without any plugin. It has everything we need, to create games of the quality we are striving for.

To assist us in developing HTML5 games, we are using the LimeJS framework. It’s open source, freely available to everyone and under active development. A great framework to work with.

Jungle Dice released!

This week we have released Jungle Dice onto our main portals – others are soon to follow! The game is a round- and time-based match-3 puzzler, with a unique twist: It’s about dice. As you are used to in a match-3 game, you have a grid full of shiny elements. In this game they are dice, and you must find both similar dice and dice of increasing value. It’s lots of fun, and very competitive!

Each round is only one minute long, and during this short period you must rack up all the points you can. Be sure to increase your multiplier, and also, get those super dice to appear – they are awesome! Oh, and don’t worry too much about the time – there are plenty of time bonuses around.

The game has an in-game high-score list, allowing you to easily compare yourself against your friends. If you are not so much the competitive type, you can attempt to reach a high round instead. This requires both skill and clever use of the booster system.

When you earn points, you gain access to boosters. They can be used to improve your winning chances. One booster gives you more time and another gives you more super dice. With five to choose from, there is much to learn in this speedy, fun and challenging puzzler!
